About Recallroll
How it works: the VIN is decoded by NHTSA's vPIC API (year, make, model, trim, engine, plant). Recalls come from the NHTSA Recalls API for that make, model and model year. The "New recalls" tab is built from NHTSA's daily recall flat file. Your browser talks to NHTSA directly; CyberMax never sees or stores your VINs.
Important: a recall listed here applies to the model year, not necessarily to your exact vehicle (it may cover a build-date range or one plant), and it may already be repaired. Confirm your exact VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a dealer; recall repairs are free at authorized dealers. Heavy trucks, trailers and some imports may decode only partly.
