White-background product photos for Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Shopify
Pick the Best model (products and objects), then White and Product photo. Cutout crops to the product, centres it on a square canvas (1000 to 3000 px) with the margin you set and exports a JPG. Marketplaces generally ask for a pure white main image with the product filling most of the frame; check your marketplace's current image rules before listing.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The page downloads an open AI model once (it's cached afterwards) and runs it in your browser with WebGPU, or on the CPU if your browser has no WebGPU. Your images stay on your device, which makes Cutout safe for unreleased products, client work and personal photos.
Which model should I use?
Fast (MODNet, Apache-2.0) is a 7 MB portrait model: great for people and headshots, and quick on phones. Best (BiRefNet-lite, MIT licence, in beta) handles products, objects, animals and people with fine edges, but is a much larger one-time download (about 115 MB with a GPU, 224 MB without), so use it on a desktop. Both allow commercial use.
Tips for clean edges
Use a photo where the subject is in focus and stands out from the background. Move the Edge slider to the right for crisp product outlines, or to the left to keep soft hair and fur.
